The Tudor Pelagos 25500TN was released at the Baselworld watch fair in 2012. The Pelagos is Tudor’s most serious diving watch, with a water resistance of 500 meters. What makes the 500 meter water resistance possible is the ‘helium escape valve’ of the watch. The valve is located on the left side of the case and is engraved with the words ‘gas escape valve’. What is special about the Pelagos 25500TN is that the case and strap are made entirely of titanium, which makes the watch extremely light. As a result, the 42mm case feels smaller when on the wrist. The dial is matte black with snow flake hands and square hour markers. The Pelagos 25500TN is equipped with a Tudor-modified ETA 2824 movement with a date display & central second. The glass is sapphire and both the numbers on the ceramic bezel and the hour markers feature Chromalight.
